About Asian 14/U Series

The Asian 14/U Series is designed to assist in the development and promotion of tennis in the Asian region and create the first ever, ranking system for junior tennis in Asia for the 14/U age group – a tournament series that has the blessing and support of the International Tennis Federation and is supported by Tennis Australia and the Australian Open – The Grand Slam of Asia/Pacific.

The goal with the Asian 14/U Series is to structure a program that can be built on for the future of asian tennis and importantly encourage excitement and development amongst the young tennis enthusiasts that are playing throughout the region.

Our thanks must also go to the Australian Open who have been instrumental in working with the ATF to get this Asian 14/U Series to it's current stage.

The fact that we have been able to link the Asian 14/U Series and the year ending top eight (8) ranked boys and girls to a 3-4 week Asian 14/U Series tennis tour of Australia, including matches against top ranked players from the Oceania region with tournaments including – Australian National Teams Championships, the Australian National 14/U Championships and the Asian 14/U Series Masters Final (where the year ending Asian 14/U rankings will be determined) in Australia, goes a long way in assisting with the development and promotion of tennis in the region and also provides a significant incentive for all players.

The introduction in 2006 of an automatic team entry to the winner of the boys and girls 14/U Championship, provides additional incentive and opportunities to Asia's top junior players.
